BATIQA Hotels and KARA achieved significant success at the Food Ingredients Asia (FiA) 2024 event held at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) from September 4 to 6. Over the course of three days, the exhibition drew more than 400 participants from around the world, attracting approximately 17,000 visitors from 60 countries, making it a premier global event in the food and beverage ingredient industry.
During the event, KARA received special recognition from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno. In a video shown during the event, the Minister expressed support for KARA as a partner in the Wonderful Indonesia co-branding initiative. “This event is a way for us to continue the heritage of Nusantara flavors. Coconut, as part of Indonesia’s flavor heritage, plays a crucial role in this effort,“ stated Sandiaga Uno.
KARA, known globally for its coconut products, participated in FiA 2024 with the goal of strengthening the Nusantara culinary industry. The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy praised KARA’s commitment to promoting Indonesia’s food potential on the global stage. This aligns with the 'Indonesia Spice Up The World' program, which aims to introduce Indonesia’s rich spices and promote the downstream development of local coconut products.
Dwianto Arif Wibowo, Corporate Manager of Sambu Group–the producer behind KARA–expressed gratitude for the support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. “We deeply appreciate the support given to Sambu Group and KARA at this exhibition. It is a responsibility we uphold seriously to advance the Indonesian coconut ecosystem sustainably,“ Dwianto explained.
