Sri Indrapura Siak Palace, Official Residence of Sultan Siak Since 1723

Siak Sri Indrapura Palace is the official residence of Sultan Siak. The building stands in an area of 32,000 meters. The two-floors palace has been around since the year of 1723 and built with a touch of Malay, Arabic, and European taste.

The lower ground houses 6 rooms that used as guest lounge, honor room, men's living room, women's living room, royal courtroom, and ballroom. As for the upper ground, there are 9 rooms that serve as the guest room.

In the palace’s courtyard, lies 8 cannons that are scattered around the yard. On the left side of the palace, a small building that used to be a temporary prison awaits you. The building also stores a collection of royal heritage of an ancient boat called "Kapal Kato (The ship of Kato)“.

Insider’s Guide

Stepping inside the palace, you will be awed by the line of well-maintained relics. To name a few, there are the king’s crown replica, ceramic cutlery, a crystal chair, and a crystal mirror.
Do find a relic of a crystal mirror on the building. It is said that the mirror can make you always look beautiful and youthful.

To enter the palace, you will be charged a fee of Rp 10,000/person for adults and Rp 5,000/person for children. The palace is open to the public every day at 09.00-17.00.
